ENGLISH FOR TOURISM IS MY OBLIGATION SUBJECT

Last semester, the students of Arabic language education department of fifth semester studied Arabic translation and tourism consentration. The students could not choose both of them but they could choose one of them. every consentration gived 8 subjects of consentration or 16 credit system of semester that might be taken  in every semester. Those 8 subjects ware not in one semester, but the students who choosed one of them might take three or four subjects of Arabic translation or tourism consentration every semester.

Those 2 consentration ware same in language devolepment studying. When fifth semester came in front of  me that I might choose one of them  so I choosed tourism consentration for my consentration in this Arabic language education department. I choosed it because tourism is a  new science for me in this department, beside I am studying the way of good teaching for Arabic language and I want to be a guide of Hajj and Umroh beside be a teacher at school for Arabic language lesson. I thought this science can give me a new thing in my live althought I can not be a guide of Hajj and Umroh in my live.

This consentration gived me 8 important subjects that might be studied well in every semester from fifth semester. In this concentration, I studied about Arabic for tourism 1 and destination of tourism. In this semester I am studying Arabic for tourism 2, English for tourism, public komunication, and science of tourim. In the next semester I will study travel bureau and tourism application.

One of 8 subjects was English for tourism in this semester, althuoght this department was Arabic language education department but this tourism consentration needed English for tourism. The purpose was so important for devoleping my ability in Arabic and English for tourism because English was an international language.

English for tourism was one of four subjects in tourism consentration that might be taken for students who choosed tourism consentration. So, I am taking it for one of subject in this semester because it was an obligation. If I saw in my book of scholar program, it was one of subject that might be taken for who choosed tourism consentration.

English also was be important ability for me when I choosed tourism consentration. English for tourism was be obligation for me and  students of Arabic language education department  who choosed tourism consentration, except as an obligation, English for tourism was be a subject for devoleping  my ability that the students of sixth semester did not study English in fourth and fifth semester. 

I think this subject also can help me beside be one of obligation subjects when I am be a real guide for Hajj and Umrah in next time, I can communicate with two languages wherever, because those two languages is so needed for guide. Those two languages can help me to guide the tourists of my group when they need a translation or a communication with a foreign tourists who use English for daily communication. If I will not be a guide, I can teach Arabic language lesson and English language lesson or I can use my English when I need it for communication or when I meet a tourist wherever.
